Agents
Agents define how calls behave. An agent combines prompt instructions, voice, speech-to-text, tools, knowledge base access, retry settings, phone configuration, and webhook delivery.
What agents control
- Opening message and conversation behavior
- Voice and language settings
- Call parameters and dynamic variables
- Tools and external actions
- Knowledge base retrieval
- Output/results schema
- Retry behavior for busy, no-answer, and failed attempts
- Webhook targets for call events
Agent IDs
Most API calls require an agent_id. You can find it in the dashboard on the Agents page or the agent detail page.
